A Slick jQuery Navigation

I recently wrote a short tutorial for Vladimir Prelovac’s website that shows how you can achieve a tabbed navigation using jQuery and some CSS.

Go check it out if you’re interested.

Great tutorial… and very close to what I am looking for. One thing I noticed is that the hover state stays on the last item hovered, and does not go back to the current page item. Is there a way to modify your tutorial so that when the user is no longer hovering over other pages on the navigation, it would return to the current page and display that page’s submenu?
    Thanks in advance!

I did not include anything about setting tabs to whatever the active category is, but that would be the first step to getting something like this to work. It would involve setting up the javascript to control a “selected” class and using that class when you’ve moused-out of the navigation area. You would probably want to use the .mouseout() or .mouseleave() methods within jQuery to achieve this.
