I have just released my first WordPress theme on the website ThemeForest. It’s very exciting and I hope it helps out a lot of people with the creation of their websites. The theme is called The Better Blogger, and it essentially a ready-made online magazine styled blogging theme. Very convenient if you plan on offering lots of articles. The theme has the ability to show you the most recent category’s posts on the homepage with very versatile archive pages for further browsing.

“Honest to blog?” is the personal weblog of Amanda Harbaugh where she discusses her issues with infertility, as well as, parenting issues and children in general.

Bankruptcy lawyer Jed Berliner wanted a website to showcase his practice and inform potential clients.

The website is running on a customized distribution of WordPress with a custom theme tailored to meet his requirements. All content on the site is controlled by the content management system, and allows anyone (with access) to make edits to the content of the website. Very convenient if Jed is out somewhere and has an idea for an article.

A personal project creating a family weblog where we can post information and news for the whole family to share.

Website contains several pages worth of information and archives of past posts to be easily browsed. Templates employ a tagging system that shows the most tagged terms first for quick viewing.

A simple little plugin to help you manage the display of a book you are currently reading. Want to show your readers what book you’re reading? That’s just what this plugin does coincidentally.

Download and Install
Download the latest release »

Upload the file bookdisplay.php to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Usage

Open management page [Tools] – [Current Book].
Edit “Book Title” field, “Book Link”, “Image Path”* and “Author” fields
Click “Update options”
Add wherever you’d like the information to be displayed in your templates.
That’s it. Simple.

Recent Updates
* Added the feature to show a thumbnail image of the book you’re reading.
